In 2008, Clairissa, a Filipino + Indigenous woman from Canada had a dream of opening a sugaring shop. With very little money and humble beginnings she decided she would start small and sugar clients out of her home. Now, over a decade later, she has successfully built Bare Body Sugaring into an established brand with 3 locations and a team of over 30 people with a distribution company that spans across Canada. She has travelled across North America to train with the top sugarists in North America including New York city and Los Angeles, has taken 4 master sugar courses, has spoken in front of 17,000 people at WE day, sugared thousands of people, and won multiple awards for best beauty brand, female entrepreneur, best beauty service, and featured in CBC news as a future 40 finalist. Bare is much more than just a body sugaring business. Clairissa has created a movement in the beauty industry which breaks social barriers- teaching people that they already come in beautiful and that every body and every person is welcomed. Bare has a responsibility to womankind - a conviction to have every person love their body.

When I’m not knee-deep in mom life, you’ll find me binging trash TV, obsessing over true crime podcasts, cooking, obsessing over cats, spending time with friends.
